The Casa Rocha Art Residency welcomes international and national artists for periods of research, creation, and cultural exchange in workspaces adapted to their practice. The program is open to artists or companies with proven experience in their field, producing choreographic, musical, performance, video projects, installations, and more.
Located in the leafy, bohemian hills of Santa Teresa, Casa Rocha feels like a hidden haven above Rio, close to the vibrant rhythm of the city but surrounded by nature, tranquility, and breathtaking views.
Renovated with movement and creativity at its core, Casa Rocha offers bright rooms, wooden floors, and minimalist interiors that create an instant feeling of comfort. A spacious studio overlooking Sugarloaf Mountain is the starting point for daily practice, while five suites, a large kitchen, cozy living areas, and a lush garden make the house welcoming, peaceful, and wonderfully pleasant.
